RusLine changes its Moscow base
To date, there are 12 domestic destinations and one European: Belgorod, Vorkuta, Voronezh, Ivanovo, Izhevsk, Kirov, Kursk, Lipetsk, Penza, Tambov, Ulyanovsk, Elista and German Leipzig. The previously announced flight schedule will not fundamentally change.
This decision was made by the Board of Directors as part of its long-term strategy to expand the airline's route network and increase its ability to service both direct and transfer passenger traffic.
"We are constantly looking for new opportunities for the development of our business. Of course, in the case of competition and the growth of air transportation it is the demand of passengers that is the key factor. People want a convenient airport from which they can quickly and comfortably reach the city centre or transfer to another flight " says Dmitriy Mirgorodsky, CEO of JSC RusLine air company. "Vnukovo Airport is the closest to Moscow, it has excellent transport connections to the city and the terminal is free of crowds and queues, which all adds to the comfort of travel. As we were not the only company flying to Domodedovo from most cities on our route network, the transfer to Vnukovo gives present and future passengers additional choice of an airport convenient for access to the city. It is also important that we already have our own maintenance station in Vnukovo, and therefore the safety of flights and our ability to maintain schedules will be enhanced".
