General rules


BEWARE: If passenger’s baggageis50 kg and overit shall be accepted for carriage as acargo and carried in accordance with cargo transportation rules.

    • All baggageshall bechecked-in and accepted for carriageatthe airport of origin.
    • All baggage carried by passenger, including hand luggage, shall be presented at check-in. In accordance with flight safety regulations, each piece of baggage shall be marked with a baggage tag and transported in the cargo compartment of the aircraft.

BEWARE: It is prohibited to integrate separate pieces of baggage.

Passenger’s baggage shall not contain the following items:

    • Dangerous items listed in the“Technical Instructions for the Safe Transportation of Dangerous goods by Air (issued by ICAO) , in the “ Regulations on the Transportof Dangerous Goods” issued by Air Regulations (IATA), in the Transportation Regulations of the Carrierand in other special acts and documents (detailed information may be provided on your request);
    • Items prohibited for carriage in accordance with the legislation, resolutions, rules, regulations, acts, documents, international treaties issued by authorities of any countries to/from/across which the carriage is performed(detailed information can be provided on your request);
    • Other items which can be regarded by the Carrier as unacceptablefor carriage due to their size, weight, shape and special features. Apart from the above,engineering aspects of the aircraft are also considered (detailed information can be provided on your request).

There are some additional restrictions for items inside the baggage:

    • fragile or perishable items;
    • bank notes, jewellery, precious metals, silver,pecuniary obligations;
    • financial credit documents and other objects of value;
    • papers, passports, ID-cards;
    • drugs, keys and other metals.

Carrier shall not be liable for any loss or damage to listed itemsinside your baggage.

Free baggage allowance


Free baggage allowance (rules in force from 07.06.2018)


The passenger has the right for free baggage transportation within Carrier’s regulations and in accordance with the fare, class of service, destination and type of the aircraft.


The norm of free baggage allowance for direct and transfer flights (internal and international flights of the Air Carrier) is set within Piece Concept System (PC).


While travelling with the same journey aim (documentally stated) and travelling together in one aircraft to the same destination (family, delegation, tourists, sport and other teams), passengers may ask for a group norm of free baggage allowance that means the sum of the free baggage allowance norm for passengers of the same group.


This concerns only free baggage. In case of combining the norm of free baggage allowance, one baggage piece may not exceed 32 kg and/or 203 cm (L*W*H).


Within transfer flights with only one air carrier, rules of baggage and hand luggage transportation are stated according to the fare rules for flights of an Aviation Company.


Within transfer flights with several air carriers, rules of baggage and hand luggage transportation are stated for each flight segment, according to the rules of each air carrier, except for the situations when IATA 302 Resolution takes place.


Free baggage does not include:

    • excess baggage;
    • TVs, radios, photo and video equipment, household appliances, office equipment, cash registers weighing more than 10 kg;
    • flowers, planting stock, greens, dried plants, tree springs weighing more than 5 kg;
    • excess baggage;
    • pets (birds) and service dogs (except for the guide dogs, accompanying blind passengers);
    • bicycles in a bike case (max. two on a flight).

Attention: Children 2-12 y.o. also have the same free baggage allowance norm as adult passengers.


Babies under 2 y.o. (without a seat) may have 1 hand luggage piece up to 10 kg not exceeding 55×40×20 cm without reference to their class of service.


Exception: At the direction of the business development director of Aviation Company «RusLine», there may be other Systems of free baggage allowance and Fares for excess baggage depending on the flight.


A baby carriage for carrying a baby under 2 y.o. will be weighed during the check-in, registered with a baggage tag and transported free of charge.


A whee chair for transporting a disabled passenger will be weighed during the check-in, registered with a baggage tag and transported free of charge.


In case of a forced reduction or rise of a class of service, the passenger has the right to transport their registered baggage and and luggage within the norm of a fare, stated in the initial ticket.

Carry-on items and hand luggage


Carry-on items and hand luggage (rules in force from 07.06.2018)



Carry-on items (hand luggage) that are being carried on board in excess of a free baggage allowance norm and are not needed to be paid for.


Hand luggage allowance - 1 piece up to 10 kg not exceeding 55*20*40 (L*W*H).


During the check-in the passenger must let their baggage weighed, except for the following items that the passenger may need during the flight or during taking off or landing, if these are carry-on items and do not belong to the baggage:


    • a backpack (weight and dimensions are set by the rules of the air carrier), a handbag or a briefcase with some belongings;
    • a bunch of flowers;
    • coats;
    • baby nutrition in an amount needed for the flight;
    • a costume in a garment bag;
    • baby bassinets, restraint systems for babies under 2 y.o., baby carriages etc. for travelling with a child, with dimensions of one piece not exceeding the one in the rules of the air carriage and that can be transported safely of the shelf above the passenger seat or under the seat in front of the passenger;
    • medicine, special diet products in an amount needed for the flight;
    • crutches, walking sticks, walkers, rollators used by the passenger and having dimensions that can be transported safely of the shelf above the passenger seat or under the seat in front of the passenger;
    • goods bought in duty-free shops at the airport, packed in a sealed plastic bag, which weight and dimensions are set by the rules of the air carrier.


Note: A garment bag with a costume must not exceed the dimensions of the and luggage - 55*40*20 cm (L*W*H). In case of exceeding these dimensions, this baggage piece must be weighed and registered as a normal baggage. There are no items allowed to be carried in a garment bag apart from a costume.


Items listed above must not be weighed, registered and marked.

Carriage of liquids in hand baggage


Liquid substances may be carried in limited amount as passenger’s baggage provided that the respective requirements are met:

    • in containers up to 100 ml
    • up to 1L per person

They are alcoholic drinks, soft drinks, water, juices, lotions, creams, perfumes, gels, tooth paste, liquid cosmetics, etc.

If a passenger apart from the allowed baggage norm needs to carry more baggage, this will require an additional charge according to the rules of transportation of excess baggage. Fares for carrying excess baggage are listed in the Tables № 2, 3.


Excess baggage (weighing more than 32 kg, but not more than 50 kg) and oversized baggage (with dimensions exceeding 203 cm) will be carried only with the prior agreement with the air carrier. This baggage is to be paid fully, the free baggage allowance norm does not apply to this kid of baggage according to the rules of the Aviation Company.

Carrying baggage on board:

    • Excess baggage requiring special care (film, photo, television, video and radio equipment, electronic and optical instruments, office equipment, musical instruments and fragile items) may be carried on board;
    • Carriage of baggage on board is possible following the preliminary approval of the Carrier. After the carrier has approved the carriage, a special air ticket shall be issued for the carriage with the prior agreement with the Air Carrier. A passenger must inform the Air Carrier or its Agent while booking the carriage or buying a ticket and pay for an additional piece for this baggage piece;
    • Charge for a separate ticket to carry the baggage on board is 100% of the passenger’s fare that is used to issue the carriage of the passenger accompanying this baggage;
    • Weight of the baggage carried on board must not exceed the average passenger’s weight (up to 80 kg), and overall dimensions of the baggage shall allow its placing and securing in a separate passenger seat;
    • Package of the baggage carried on board must have means for securing it in the passenger seat;
    • The passenger takes responsibility for embarking, disembarking and delivering their baggage to the terminal.

Carriage of portable electronic and electrical devices


1. In accordance with the provisions of ICAO documents, personal mobility aid powered by lithium batteries are not recommended for air transportation.


2. Based on ICAO recommendations, Carrier does not accept personal mobility aid powered by lithium batteries as checked baggage and / or carry-on baggage.


3. Personal mobility aids are:

    • Airwheel, solowheel etc.;
    • Hoverboards;
    • Miïi-segway, bàlàncå wheel etc.


4. Possibility of air transportation of portable devices with lithium batteries and power consumption depends on configuration (Wh) * batteries (for the rechargeable lithium-ion / polymer batteries) or lithium content (for non-rechargeable batteries of lithium metal).
