Carrying of animals and birds


The carriage of pets (dogs, birds, cats) must be implemented according to the prior agreement with the Carrier, must be registered during the booking or purchase of a ticket, must be checked-in and be transported in the cargo compartment. Order of service must be implemented according to the prior agreement with the countries where to, where from, or through the territory of which such carriage is implemented.


Free baggage allowance does not cover the carriage of pets.


Additional payment will be calculated at the fare of the extra baggage piece regardless of the total number of passengerís baggage pieces (inclusive of animals) of the service class based on the actual weight of the animal (dogs, cats, birds) with the container (cage) (with the exception of guide dogs).

Guide-dog

Guide dogs must have a collar and a muzzle and be tied to a seat at the feet of the passenger it accompanies.

Free of charge

1. Carrier accepts for transportation Pets (in-door animals): dogs, cats, dogs, and birds.


2. Carriage of animals or birds (except those kept as pets), wild animals, insects, fish farming materials, reptiles, rodent, or ill or test animals is not permitted both in cargo compartments and cabin.


BEWARE: Free baggage allowance shall not apply to carriage of birds and animals and shall be charged at the Fare applicable to excess baggage based on the actual weight of the animal and container\bird and cage.

Passenger list must be completed with the appropriate remarks about animals in the cabin as well as in the cargo compartment.


3. The Carrier is not responsible for bodily injury, loss, delay, sickness or death of animals if they are refused entry or passage through any country or territory except in cases where this has been caused by the wilful misconduct or gross negligence of the Carrier.

4.†The special form in accordance with the appendix #3 of presented rules shall be completed and handed to a representative or to a check-in agent in case of animal (dogs, birds, cats) transportation.

The carriage of pets (dogs, birds, cats) in the cabin must be implemented according to the prior agreement with the CJSC ęRuslineĽ and be accompanied with the adult passenger (18 plus).

The actual weights of the animal with the cage as well as animalsí food (with the exception of guide dogs any weight) are not covered with the free baggage allowance.

The quantity of animals in the cabin is limited with 2 pieces(container\cage\carrying bag) on the same flight. The shortest distance from one animal to each other is 5 rows Ė for carriage in the cabin.

The actual weight of the animal with the cage must not exceed 8kg, dimensions of the cage must not exceed 115 cm in sum (55x40x20). It is prohibited to place the passenger with animal next to an emergency exit or next to the space for safety equipment.

Carriage of a service dog as an extra animal in the cabin must be implemented according to the prior agreement with the Carrier and be supported with the documents evidencing the accompanying passenger as an employee of Police Dog Service of the Federal Authorities.

The quantity of animals in the cabin of CRJ100|200 is limited with 2 pieces (container\cage\carrying bag) on the same flight.

A guide dog accompanying passenger who is visually challenged or blind

Carriage of a Guide Dog as an extra animal in the cabin must be implemented in accordance with the documents evidencing passengerís disability status and dogís training. It is accepted with no extra charge. †Guide dogs must have a collar and a muzzle and be tied to a seat at the feet of the passenger it accompanies. Disabled passenger accompanied with a guide dog is accepted irrespective of his\her age.

†The passenger travelling with a Guide Dog is provided with a seat in the rear part of the cabin but NOT next to the emergency exits.

AVIH

Animals in the cargo compartment

Animals\birds and Service Dogs.

Carriage of animals in the cargo compartment must be implemented according to the prior agreement with CJSC ęRuslineĽ not later than 72 hours before the departure time as shown in the schedule. Carriage of pets (birds) in the cargo compartment of the aircraft must be implemented inside a container with maximum dimensions of 80x60x60 cm and with maximum weight of 50 kg. There are technical restrictions on the some types of the aircraft.

The quantity of animals in the cargo compartment of CRJ100|200 is limited with 3 pieces (container\cage\carrying bag) on the same flight.

6. The following documents must be submitted to the Russian Veterinary Control Office at the airport:

    • veterinary passport or veterinary EU passport (for EU residents);
    • veterinary certificate No.1 (for carriage through the Russian Federation, CIS countries, or to other foreign countries).

Also, Passenger can provide all the necessary documents required by Russian law, international treaties and laws of the country from/to/through which you and your pet will be travelling.

Transport of animals/birds is not included in the free baggage allowance and shall be charged prior to chech-in.


7. The owner of the animal or bird must ensure that the container/cage protects the animal or bird from injury during the flight:

    • the container must have air vents and the container must be securely locked to prevent accidental opening;
    • the inner surface of the container must have a smooth rounded surface, to prevent possible injury to the animal during the flight; the bottom of the container must be solid, waterproof and covered with an absorbent non-toxic material. The container must not allow any spillage of the absorbent material;
    • The birdís cage should be covered with a thick cloth to keep out light during the flight;
    • Pets travelling in the passenger cabin must be inside a special container or bag-carrier;
    • The animal or bird must not be taken out of the container/cage while in the passenger cabin.


8. Please note that a number of countries have specific rules for entry of animals.
You can find legal requirements for carriage of animals on websites of the Directorate of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary or you can contact veterinary control offices.


9. The carriage in each aircraft cabin\cargo compartment of antagonistic animals is prohibited (for example: cat and dog).


The carriage of antagonistic animals is permitted:

    • If the animals belong to the same owner and the quantity of animals is limited with 2 pieces (container\cage\carrying bag) in the cabin as well as in the cargo compartment on the same flight.
    • If one of the animals is excepted for carriage in the cabin but another one in the cargo compartment.
